About
Scott Luhmann:
You’re probably asking yourself how I ended up here. That’s an interesting story. In the summer of 1977, a young, wide eyed artist was born. That young artist was Me: Scott Luhmann. The only thing I’ve ever wanted to do, or be, was a professional cartoonist like my Idols Charles Schulz, Matt Groening, William Hanna, Bill Watterson, Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird, Stan Sakai, Akira Toryama and many, many more.
In the early 2000's I was on track for my dream to come true. Sadly, just as I was set for big things, my drawing arm was injured in a medical mishap, leaving me permanently disabled. For fifteen years I was unable to draw a straight line. Then a miracle happened, I finally found a medication that allowed me to draw again without excruciating pain.
Filled with hope and unfulfilled projects waiting to be created I started down the path that lay before you today. What had been started when I was sixteen has finally come to fruition. Granted, the story has changed many times, characters have come and gone, but Spike and Swing have always endured. I hope you enjoy the duo as much as I do. As they set off on their greatest adventure to date, with friends and family tagging along as always. Let the mayhem begin!
Brian Dimino:
If you’ve read Scott’s profile you’re probably wondering what I’m even doing here. What am I bringing to this? Scott needs someone that can help focus his vision into what he imagines it can be and I know I can do that. Scott bounces a million ideas off me and I try to focus on the ones I believe show the greatest promise. Before we knew it the stories, the characters, and the setting all came into coherency. Something we can be proud of.
Unlike Scott this wasn’t my goal for my life nor a life long dream. If you’d asked me ten years ago I’d NEVER have guessed working on a comic. That doesn’t mean I don’t have passion for this project, it just means sometimes life takes you by surprise. I’ve even created a character that fans will get to see later in the series. I hope everyone enjoys the story as much as we’ve had creating this world.
